Meet Carlo, Your Franklin Square Dog Trainer
Carlo Cardella is a certified dog trainer (Animal Behavior College) based in Franklin Square, New York, and the founder of PET: Play, Enjoy, Train. He trains with positive reinforcement and LIMA methods, with your dog's temperament leading the plan rather than a fixed curriculum.
Born and raised in Sicily, Italy, Carlo found his passion for dogs through rescue work, and went on to train dogs at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from SUNY Old Westbury, which shows in how he works: he trains the owner as much as the dog.
His clients tend to describe the same two things. The first is communication, homework between sessions and a trainer who is a text or a phone call away when something does not work. The second is that the results hold, because the tools go home with you.

Carlo is a very competent and patient dog trainer or I really should say human trainer. My 10 year old German Shepherd Thor was getting us in trouble with the Town of Hempstead. Carlo came to our home and showed us how to lovingly and repetitively correct his behavior which was barking. Carlo gave us homework and was always there by text or phone if something didn’t work. We are so appreciative to him for helping us stop the cycle Thor was in. We just have to keep doing our new way of doing things 😁
